American Management Services Company ("AMSC") and its subsidiaries and related companies own and operate these sites for the mutual convenience of its property managers and the residents and prospective residents of its properties. We make our interactive website features available in order to aid in delivering information and services to you. We encourage you to use our sites for the information and services we offer. .

In the use of our sites, we will occasionally ask you for certain personal information. .

Our policy is to be careful with this information and to use it only for purposes of making your residential experience (or your consideration of our services) a positive one. .

Third-Party Sites

Please understand that AMSC's residents' websites occasionally link to third-party service providers, such as our document center which is staffed by www.militaryhomelink.com, which may also request certain personal information. The policy of such third parties will control the collection, storage and use of your personal information when you are visiting these third-party sites and are asked for personal information.

AMSC has reviewed the policies and procedures of these third-party service providers and found them satisfactory for protection of our residents and prospective residents. AMSC will endeavor only to use third-party service providers whose policies and procedures with respect to personal information are as cautious as AMSC's, but please understand that the precise policies that control the collection, storage and use of your personal information are those of the owners and operators of those sites requesting the information and AMSC is not a third-party guarantor of the policies and procedures of such third parties.

Our sites may contain links to other web sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to read the privacy statements of every web site that collects personally identifiable information. Other than the third party providers with whom we work to fulfill our obligations to our customers, the fact that we provide external links is not meant to indicate that we endorse the linked company or its products or services.

Information We May Collect

As a resident or prospective resident, we may collect the following types of personal information from you:

  • Contact Information: In certain circumstances, we may gather your name, address, telephone, email, date of birth, military status and rank, and/or social security number.
  • Demographic Information: In certain circumstances, we may gather information about the members of your family, such as names, addresses, telephone, email, dates of birth, and military status or rank, as may be applicable. Our sites are not designed for use by people thirteen years of age or younger and we do not solicit or request personally identifiable information directly from those under thirteen years of age. A parent may review and request deletion of their child's personal information, and may refuse to permit further collection or use of their child's information by contacting us as noted above.
  • Technical Information: At this point, our web server does not automatically collect and store the IP address of the user, type of browser, pages accessed, and the page linking to the AMSC page or page visited immediately prior to the AMSC page, although certain future development of our websites may include these features.
  • Financial Information: In certain circumstances, we may gather certain financial information about you and/or your spouse, either directly from you and/or your spouse, or from third parties such as credit bureaus and identity verification services, including but not limited to, credit reports and verifications, pay or salary confirmations, bank account and credit card numbers and information.
  • Volunteered Information: In certain circumstances, you may volunteer information to us or our third-party service providers that is not otherwise identified above. Examples could include particular inquiries or reports made regarding your residence.
  • Information Not Directly Entered at an AMSC Page: Our policy is to treat personal information with the same degree of care and confidence whether we receive that information over one of our websites or whether you give us the information otherwise in writing, by email, in person or over the telephone.

Generally, we use "personal information" in this privacy policy to denote information that could be used to identify a specific person. We do not consider personal information to include information that has been anonymized so that it does not identify a specific user.

How We Use the Personal Information We Collect

We store and process your personal information on our servers in the United States and on the servers of our third-party services providers. We protect this personal information by maintaining physical, electronic and procedural safeguards such as secure facilities, firewalls and data encryption, and limiting access to those personnel who need the information to fulfill their job responsibilities. We may share your personal information with those third parties who are necessary to our residential services.

We do not make the email addresses of residents or those who access our site available to other organizations. We do not sell, rent or license our email lists or customer lists to third-parties. Other than disclosure to those third parties that assist AMSC in the provision of its residential services consistent with this privacy policy, we will only share your personal information with a third-party at your consent.

We may make disclosures of personal information if we are subject to legal process requiring the disclosure of such information or to protect AMSC rights, if such a third-party disclosure is, in the judgment of ASMC, in its interests.

How We Use Cookies, Ad Servers and Bulletin Boards

When you access our websites, we, or companies we may use to track how our websites are used, may place small data files called "cookies" on your computer. We use "temporary" or "session cookies" that are erased when the browser is closed, or permanent cookies. You are free to decline our cookies if your browser permits, but doing so may interfere with your use of our websites.

We do not use "ad servers" or other mechanisms to target advertisements to our users based on profiles or other collected information, including personal information.

We do not use "bulletin board" or "message board" or other features where residents may publicly post information on our sites, although certain future development of our websites may include these features.

Intellectual Property

The content on our sites is protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. This includes photographs, text, graphics, video or audio clips and the underlying software. The selection and arrangement of features on our websites are compilations that are also protected by copyright. Reproduction, modification, distribution, transmission, republication, display, or performance, of the content on our sites is strictly prohibited, whether or not for monetary of other compensation.

Warranties and Disclaimers

We are not liable to any user of our sites for any property damage, lost profits, bodily injury, lost data, business interruption or any indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damages that result from any user's use of or inability to use our sites.

Governing Law and Venue

AMSC has its headquarters in Washington State and this privacy policy is governed by the laws of Washington State. There may be additional laws from the state of your residence that may also apply. Any action to enforce the terms of this privacy policy must be brought in state or federal courts situated in Washington State.
